Vice's intended audience is mainly young adults and teenagers. They try and appeal to this sort of young audience through an easy to look at and simplistic web design. Every link that goes to one of their articles has a picture to match with it and they tend to be a little silly or cartoon-ish if they have a light tone to the article. They don't do this with more serious articles, though, in order to avoid criticism and hate for being insensitive about a topic. Also, to appeal to this younger audience, the title of each of the articles is something that will draw in the views such as "5 things we've learned since Trump fired Comey" or "Why Facebook Won't Change". These titles make teenagers and young adults interested because it relates to things they are used to when they are usually on social media. The "5 Things" is buzzfeed-like and can make them see the familiar format and be more likely to click on it.
