About viceVice was founded in 1994 in Montreal, Canada by Suroosh Alvi, Shane Smith, and Gavin McInnes. It was originally a printed magazine that later expanded into a website that focused on pop culture, art, and news topics. Its Editor-In-Chief is Ellis Jones and it's creative Officer is Eddy Moretti. Originally, Vice focused mainly on pop culture and independent art but it has now shifted to more serious news. They have their own television channel called Viceland and a documentary show called Balls Deep. When they were asked about their political affiliation, they said they would like to remain neutral and they don't side on any specific one. Vice news was launched December 2013 and is their branch handling articles about current events.
